Scott had run grocery stores for over 20 years before buying the restaurant, and when the company he was working for restructured and pulled out of Petersburg, he was planning to move. It was Mandie’s suggestion to buy the pizza parlor in town and become partners that led to the creation of Papa Bear’s Pizza.
